Kat is a marine biologist (MSc) with extensive research experience, having worked with NGOs, universities and governmental departments across the globe, from Southeast Asia, to the Caribbean to the Maldives, and more. Whilst her experience ranges from corals, to turtles and ghost gear, her focus has been on shark and ray research and conservation.

Working in tropical destinations with marine megafauna, Kat has often had the opportunity to capture incredible moments and interactions in stunning locations. More recently, Kat has focused on her photography and videography, qualifying as a commercial drone pilot.

Kat is experienced in social media management, having run multiple platforms for a marine charity across 3 years, in addition to creating social media content for shark and ghost gear research projects.
